TEAM
TOMOKAZU IHARA, Lead Guide, Professional trail runner, CEO of TOMO’S PIT Co., Ltd. Born in Nagano Prefecture in 1977. After graduating from a university in the United States, he joined a sports equipment manufacturer with a height of 178 cm, weight of 98 kg, and BMI of 32, which is far from that of a runner, and participated in a diet project there, where he encountered trail running. He became fascinated with long races after participating in the 15km race at Madarao Forest Trails. His first 100-mile race was the 100-mile challenge "T.D.T (Tour de Tomo)" that he planned himself in 2010, and he was captivated by the charm of 100 miles. He continued to run with the goal of "Completing 100 miles, 100 races in his lifetime", and completed 82 races (as of Nov 2025). In 2023, he won the title of "Grand Slam of Ultrarunning" in the United States. He has also been challenging the "Barkley Marathons" since 2018, which has only been completed by 26 people in the history of the race over the past 30 years. Through his own company, TOMO'S PIT, he provides online coaching, develops gear specialized for ultra running, and organizes races all over the country.
